Make Fitness Fun For Kids! Inactivity is too widespread among children. This can be attributed to many factors, of which include too much time spent watching television or playing video games. Physical education class at school is not enough exercise for children, as participation has continued to decrease. Parents should work to motivate their kids to be more active for the fun of it. Encourage children to swim, bike or play ball with friends. Let them take a 10-minute break during homework time to go outside and play. The best way to get children to become more active is be a good role model and be more active yourself. Get the whole family involved in games or bicycling.
