SOIL TESTING LABORATORY INCREASES FEES
AUBURN, JAN. 21, 2000---Effective Jan. 1, 2000, the Soil Testing Laboratory at Auburn University implemented an increase in service fees.
The Lab provides a variety of services including routine soil tests, diagnostic foliar analyses, pecan analyses, micronutrient analyses, organic matter analyses, saturated media extract analyses, nitrates forage, forage and feed analyses and water analyses.
The important change is the sliding-scale fee charged for a routine soil test. The prices are based upon the number of samples received on the same day.
Growers sending:
4 or fewer samples will be charged $8 per sample
5-49 samples will be charged $7 per sample
50 or more samples will be charged $6 per sample.
Fees for other analyses have also increased. Some of these include:
Routine Water $16.00
Routine Plant $16.00
Routine Forage $25.00
Fertilizer Value $16.00
Sludge $25.00
Compost $25.00
Waste $25.00
Litter $30.00
Pecan Package $20.00
The Auburn University Soil Testing Laboratory, established in 1953, is a cooperative effort of the Alabama Experiment Station and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. The primary mission of the lab is to provide an unbiased and economical fertilizer and lime recommendation service to Alabama growers.
