ROBERT WHITE SELECTED FOR NATIONAL LEADERSHIP ROLE
AUBURN, JAN. 7, 2000---Robert White, an Alabama county Extension agent on special assignment at Auburn University, has been selected for a national leadership role. He will represent the Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service (CSREES) in the development of credit education materials in partnership with American Express, the National Foundation for Consumer Credit, Neighborhood Reinvestment Coalition, Consumer Federation of America and Consumer Action.
The project goal is the development of a video, a supporting brochure and an educator's guide focused on helping consumers realize they have a debt problem and how to take action to solve it.
White is a family financial management
agent with 10 years field experience in rural and urban settings. He has
developed numerous, teaching materials that have been effective and well-accepted
by displaced workers, limited resource audiences and youth. He currently
serves as a team leader for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System's
Welfare to Work program.
