AUBURN, JUNE 5---Consumers can now access more than 150 Extension publications on the web.
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System home page address is: http://www.aces.edu. To view publications, click on publications and then on on-line publications.
Many old and new publications on a large variety of topics are available via internet for consumers, says Jean Dwyer, Extension communications specialist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.
"Getting the publications formatted for the web has been a joint effort of Alabama A&M and Auburn Extension Communications staff, including specialists, editors and student interns," Dwyer says. "That effort continues as more old publications and all new publications are added to the web site weekly."
In fact, some of the new publications available on the web are not available in print yet, Dwyer adds.
To make information even more accessible to consumers, many publications also have links to similar topics, additional information or other publications.
In addition to Extension publications, all mass media news releases, Ag Home News, and special packets such as the Spring Garden Packet, are available on the web. Current releases are added weekly and then archived by month and topic. For example, if a story about irradiation was released the first week of May, it can be found by clicking on May or by clicking on Food Safety.
