Turkey Time "Hot Lines" Help Holiday Bakers

Auburn, Nov. 22, 2002---Many food companies open up hot lines, offering help with holiday cooking and baking. If you are stumped on the best way to thaw, prepare or cook a turkey, have a baking-related question, or are concerned about food safety, call one of the available hot lines for help. Many also offer recipes, free brochures and help online.

  • Butterball Turkey Talk-Line, 1-800-323-4848: Home economists and nutritionists answer questions and offer assistance on turkey cooking from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. CST weekdays through Dec. 23. www.butterball.com
