FRUIT AND VEGETABLE CONFERENCE IS NOV. 10-12 IN DOTHAN

AUBURN, OCT. 22---The 20^th annual Alabama Fruit and Vegetable Growers Conference is Nov. 10, 11 and 12 at the Holiday Inn, South in Dothan.

The conference is open to all interested persons. Growers are especially encouraged to attend Wednesday and Thursday sessions. Registration begins at 9 a.m. on Nov. 10. There is a discount for those who pre-register.

The conference will provide growers and potential growers with the latest information and technologies concerning fruit and vegetable production. It will emphasize cultural practices, management techniques, and marketing concepts and opportunities. Special sessions on drip irrigation and the use of plastic mulch are also planned.

Be sure to mention that you are with the Alabama Fruits and Vegetable Growers Association. Rooms are discounted to $56 per night for up to four persons per room. The rate includes a full breakfast for two.
