Auburn, Dec. 17, 2003 ---
Alabama
beef cattle producers had the chance to see the latest in fencing and
electronic identification programs at a management field day Dec. 16
at the Auburn University Bull Test Facility.
Dr. Lisa Kriese-Anderson, an animal
scientist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, said
participants also had the opportunity to see the bulls to be sold at
the 54th Annual Auburn University Bull Sale set for Jan.
17.
“A number of people came specifically
to make initial selections on bulls they plan to bid on come Jan. 17,”
said Kriese-Anderson.
She said the sale catalog is available
online at the Alabama Beef Cattle Improvement Association Web site,
www.albcia.org.
