Mail Merge Tutorial

Click the Active Window button. The active document becomes the mail-merge main document.


The next step is to get the data from the address book that will create the mailing labels. Click on the button labeled Get Data.


Once you have clicked on the Get Data button, a new drop down window will appear. Select Open Data Source from the menu.


The program will then bring up a window where you can select the file that is your data source. This window should look familiar to you. The Look In window will tell you where you are in your computer.


You can use the drop-down menu to move through your folders to find the data file that will be your data source.
If it is not visible, and you know that you are looking in the right place, check the FILES OF TYPE window. You can change this to show All Files. There is also a built in search feature here to help you locate your file.
