Interactive Web Conference Offers IPM Insights

An Integrated Pest Management Web Conference, set for Wednesday, April 15, will offer the latest information to producers and crop consultants among others. This conference will focus on IPM practices in agronomic crops and commercial horticulture, says event organizer Dr. Ayanava Majumdar, who is also an entomologist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.

“Overall, it promises to be an informative event covering a wide range of IPM topics across multiple crops including row crops, fruits and vegetables,” says Majumdar. “Mark the date and time on your calendar.”

There will be speakers from both the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and Auburn University. Two out-of-state speakers include Dr. Ricardo Bessin, Extension entomologist from the University of Kentucky, and Dr. Alton Sparks, Extension entomologist from the University of Georgia.

For complete program information, visit the IPM Web Conference Web site, https://sites.aces.edu/group/crops/peanut/IPM%20Web%20Conference/ipmwebconference.aspx.

For further assistance, contact Ayanava Majumdar at azm0024@auburn.edu or at (251) 331-8416.

The event begins at 8:15 am and will end at noon. The conference will be available at a number of locations across the state. Contact your county Extension office for more information.
