Ball Inducted Into Alabama Livestock Hall of Fame
Dr. Don Ball, an agronomy professor at Auburn University and forage specialist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, was recently inducted into the Alabama Livestock Hall of Fame.

The ALHOF was established in 1981 by the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association and the Southeastern Livestock Exposition. It honors Alabamians who have made significant contributions to Alabama’s cattle and livestock industry.
Ball has been the Extension forage crop agronomist since 1976. He has authored more than 30 bulletins and circulars, more than 650 magazine or trade journal articles, and two books on forage crop production. Among other honors, he is a Fellow of the American Society of Agronomy and of the Crop Science Society of America, is a former Auburn University Alumni Professor, and was inducted into the Western Kentucky University Hall of Distinguished Alumni.
He was honored at the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association Annual Convention held in Montgomery Feb. 13 and 14. The Alabama Livestock Hall of Fame is located on the third floor of the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association building in Montgomery.
