Protecting Yourself From Mosquito-Borne Illnesses

A Baldwin County infant has been diagnosed with Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE). Last year, a six-month-old Baldwin County infant died from EEE.
An entomologist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System says that EEE is just one of a number of diseases that humans can contract from mosquitoes.

Dr. Xing Ping Hu says mosquitoes are the primary carriers for EEE and West Nile virus.
