Small Ruminant Marketing Symposium Coming in March

The 2nd Annual Small Ruminant Spring Symposium will be held on Saturday, March 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Alabama A&M University’s Agribition Center located at 4925 Moores Mill Road in Huntsville. The symposium will focus on value-added marketing and various marketing options in Alabama, as well as feature hands-on demonstrations, vendors and exhibits.
Guest speakers are Dr. Will Getz from Fort Valley State University, Angela Hurst of the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, the United States Department of Agriculture’s 1890 liaison officer Dr. Kurt Gardener at Alabama A&M University and marketing specialist David Gonsoulin of the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries. Blake Garner of the Alabama Association of Resource Conservation and Development and E'licia Chaverest of Alabama A&M University’s Small Farm Research Center will serve as the moderators.
The cost of this event is $5, which includes lunch and symposium materials.
This event is a collaborative effort between the Alabama Cooperative Extension System’s Urban Affairs and New Nontraditional Programs unit and the Small Farms Research Center at Alabama A&M University.
