Alabama Conservation Tillage Workshop Feb. 14 and 15 in Andalusia

A two-day conservation tillage workshop will be held Feb.14 and 15 at the Kiwanis Community Center in Andalusia.. The workshop is designed for farmers desiring to learn more about conservation tillage methods from other farmers and conservation tillage researchers.

Topics to be discussed include cover crop, weed and fertility management, soil compaction, water relations, equipment and farm programs. A field demonstration and equipment display will also be a part of the workshop.

Registration for the workshop is $35 per person. Farmers are eligible for scholarships to cover
the registration fee and lodging if an application is submitted by Feb.10. The workshop will begin at 9 a.m. with on-site registration on Tuesday Feb. 14 through noon Feb. 15.
