4-H Rifle Training
Shooting sports enthusiasts are you interested in sharing your sport with young people? A rifle training workshop for adult volunteers interested in working with the 4-H Shooting Sports program is planned for Oct. 14 and15 in Albertville. The training will be held at Christ United Methodist Church.
The workshop will provide adults interested in working with 4-H rifle programs with safe and proper instruction techniques. Volunteer leaders will learn how to plan and manage a local 4-H club; ways to promote the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship and ethical behavior among volunteers and youth; and ways to enhance existing hunter education and 4-H Shooting Sports program training.
All participants will receive information on 4-H youth development, risk management, and training in safety and teaching methodology. Participants will also get a chance to practice teach their discipline to others.
Training will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Lunch, snacks and drinks will be served on Saturday.
