- Staff Photos for County Webpages
- County staff photos should be 135 pixels X 200 pixels at 72 dpi.
They should be named using the county name with the first letter capitalized and saved in "jpeg"
format using the capitalized ".JPG" file extension such as "Lee.JPG". The files should be uploaded
to the "pic" directory in the county web directory.
- Screen Captures - Ever needed to grab an image of something on your computer screen? It's easy!
- Windows - Hold down the "Alt" key and hit the "Print Screen" key. By default, this will take a snapshot of the active window on your screen and save it to your clipboard. If you want everything on screen including more than just the active window, click on the desktop to select it before hitting "Alt+Print screen". You can then open any graphics program or Word or Wordpad, etc. and paste the image. If the captured image is more than you need, just crop and edit as needed in your image editing program.
- Macintosh - On a Macintosh running Operating Systems 7 through 9.1 you simply press the following keys similtaniously to capture the entire contents of the computer screen: "COMMAND (the apple/cloverleaf key) + SHIFT + 3 (the number three key)"! By pressing those three keys at the same time you will capture an exact copy of the computer screen at a given moment. You will know that an image has been captured because you will hear a shutter click that sounds like a 35mm camera. Once you hear the shutter click, a copy of the screen will be encapsulated into a file called a PICT (short for Picture File - a native Macintosh File Format) and saved in the first level of your hard drive. When you open your hard drive, a file called "Picture 1" will exist in the Hard Drive and can be opened using SimpleText or any image editing program like Photoshop.
