Active Directory Policies

1. ACES_Autoupdate - Schedules each computer to apply critical updates from Microsoft automatically each night. Updates that are missed due to either the computer being off or the internet connection being down, are applied immediately at next reboot.

2. ACES_Drive_Mount - Automatically connects shared network drives for the current logged in user. These shares are available under "My Computer." Such shares include the drives S: H: and P.

3. ACES_Security - Protects each machine on Active Directory from malicious attacks from inside and outside the Auburn network. This compliments the current firewall settings on the AU servers as well as Mcafee Virusscan.

4. ACES_Software - Allows users to download programs from the network via the "Add or Remove Programs" section of the "Control Panel." Software currently available includes: Microsoft Office 2003, Mcafee Virusscan, SecureCRT, Groupwise, Spybot, Tivoli Storage, and WinSCP.
