In the past few months, several faculty and staff have received e-mail
similar to the one below. Of course, these messages are scams. However,
while the various messages are similar, the specific content and sender of
each message is different enough to make it difficult for our mail server
to filter them or reject them.
The U.S. Secret Service is aware of this scam and has posted information
about it at:

If you receive such a message, the Secret Service has asked that you fax a
copy of it to them at (202) 406-5031. It is not necessary to notify CTU
if you receive such a message, but please feel free to contact CTU if you
have further questions.
