This intensive training course introduces the participants to all phases of economic development. The program leaders and faculty are experienced in economic development techniques and have tailored the course to the expressed needs of professional economic developers. City managers, community developers, Chamber of Commerce executives and officers, research analysts and assistants, specialists, job developers, revenue officers, Industrial Development Board members, County Commissioners, and other elected or appointed city and county officials will find this course especially valuable.

Comments from Last Year's Participants:

  • This training course has been both educational and rewarding.
  • An excellent course on economic development techniques.
  • The educational content was unbelievable.
  • Anyone who is even remotely involved with economic development in their town/county definitely needs to take part in this class.
  • The network of people is invaluable.
  • A good, comprehensive mix of topics important to all economic developers.
  • Exposed to information that I had no idea existed.
  • The mix of educators and practitioners added a well-rounded overview of the issues.
  • Being new to economic development this course has truly given me insight into the actions my organization should be taking to recruit business and industry.
  • Great course! Well organized! I will recommend it.
