This intensive training course introduces the participants to all phases of economic development. The program leaders and faculty are experienced in economic development techniques and have tailored the course to the expressed needs of professional economic developers. City managers, community developers, Chamber of Commerce executives and officers, research analysts and assistants, specialists, job developers, revenue officers, Industrial Development Board members, County Commissioners, and other elected or appointed city and county officials will find this course especially valuable.

The registration fee of $400 includes payment for both Session I and Session II. Make checks payable to Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Refunds will not be extended after June 25, 2006. Location
The Auburn University Hotel and Dixon Conference Center is located on the Auburn University Campus at 241 South College Street, Auburn, Alabama, 36849. A map and directions to the location will be provided to applicants upon receipt of registration material.
Hotel
A block of rooms will be held at the Auburn University Hotel until June 25, 2006. Reservations may be made by calling 1-800-228-2876. Indicate that you are attending the Intensive Economic Development Training Course and your room rate should be $80.00 plus tax.
Attendance Policy
Participants will be expected to attend both sessions in order to receive a certificate for the course. Only illness, family emergency or business emergency constitute an excused absence. If a student is absent for more than 10 percent of the course, no certificate will be issued.
