Leaf blade, long than 2 inches, usually hairy on both sides.

Fibrous root system and roots at lower nodes.

Lower stems flattened, pale green, with hairy sheaths that form unsightly
patches.

At maturity, 2 to 9 thin finger-like seedheads at end of stem.

Preemergence - benefin, pendimethalin, oryzalin,
dithiopyr, prodiamine.

(Apply in the spring/early summer to small weeds).
