Tommy conducts educational programs for Tallapoosa County. His major responsibilities
include:
- County Extension Coordinator
- Livestock and Forages
- Forestry and Natural Resources
- Water Quality
- 4-H and Youth Development
- Home Economics
- Community Development
BACKGROUND AND TRAINING
Tommy is a 1967 graduate of Hackneyville High School . He graduated
from Auburn University in 1971 with a B.S. in Agricultural Science and again from Auburn University in 1990 with a M. Ed. in Vocational and
Adult Education.
Tommy was a self-employed swine, cattle, and hay production farmer from
1971-1985. He joined the Alabama Cooperative Extension System as
a County Agent for Clay County in 1985. He transferred to Tallapoosa
County in 1997 as a County Agent and was appointed as County Extension
Coordinator in Tallapoosa County in 2000.
PERSONAL
Tommy resides in Hackneyville with wife, Susan P. Futral and has a daughter
Valerie and a son Ben.
