Tallapoosa 4-H Arbor Day Poster Contest
OBJECTIVE
Students will create a poster that reflects their understanding of forests as ecosystems that support diverse plant and animal life and benefit the environment.
MATERIALS NEEDED
- Paper must be no smaller than 8 ½ X 11" and no larger than 14 X 18".
- Markers, Crayons, Colored Pencils, Watercolor, Ink, Acrylic, or Tempera paint.
- A completed entry form for each piece of art.(included on this paper)
RULES
- A student who is currently in the fifth grade must create all entries.
- All entries must be signed in the lower right-hand corner of the front with the student’s first and last name.
- Collages are not acceptable.
- Computer generated artwork is not acceptable.
- Entries must be done on paper that will allow for duplication, display and framing.
- Official entry blank must be completed and affixed to the back of the artwork.
- The entry must be the original work of the student whose name is on the entry form.
- The poster must be complete.
- The poster must be related to the contest theme in some way. The theme for 2002 is:
"Trees Are Terrific…From Acorn to Oak!"
The theme must be on the poster. All words must be spelled correctly.
- Entries should not be matted, mounted, framed or folded.
All posters are due at your November Club meetings.
