Montgomery County 4-H
And Youth Development

4H

The 4-H program is the educations youth component of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. 4-H'ers take part in various contests and competitions throughout the year along with various camp and exciting trips.

4-H is for all youth ages 9-19 in school, public or private, rural or urban. Take advantage of one of the oldest and most comprehensive programs that Alabama has to offer.

4-H is always in need of volunteers. If you are an adult and have youth in your community that you want to work with, contact us and we will train you and provide all the educational materials you will need.

4-H School Club
4-H is still enriching the lives of youth everyday. 4-H'ers learned about wildlife, poison prevention, how to do demonstrations, leadership skills, character education, Parliamentary procedures, etc. 4-H'ers Midwinter Retreat, which focused on leadership, communication, responsibility and Character education.

Summer 4-H Program

 

Natural Resources & Agriculture
The 4-H Clubs focused in on Natural Resources, Environmental Stewardship, Agriculture and Science & Technology in School Clubs this year. They learned about wildlife, conservation, renewable and non-renewal natural resources as well as entomology. 4-H'ers participated in the program on trees and learning more about one of Alabama largest industries and greatest resource.

Farm & Home Safety Day Camp
Again, this year we held the Farm & Home Safety Day Camp at Auburn Montgomery Campus.
