Montgomery County 4-H Horse Club – Regal Riders

Community Service Project

On May 19th, our Montgomery County 4-H club had a great time with our

Community Service Project! On this project we were working with Operation

Gratitude in collecting products for all of our brave service members overseas!

We set up a table in front of Winn Dixie at Sturbridge to collect items for

everyone to bring out to us from the store! We had a lot of fun! We started

at 10:00 in the morning and cleaned up to go at 2:00 in the afternoon.

Everyone was wonderful in helping our troops! Mr. Pruitt, who owns Winn

Dixie, was a great big help!!! We collected many, many things and raised a

lot of money that we are going to use for phone cards and other products to

send to our soldiers. We collected about $450, WOW! We sent all of the

products to California, where they will be shipped to the soldiers from

there! Also a few people wrote some thank-you letters too! I'm sure the

soldiers will be very happy to see all of the products and letters we have

sent. Thanks to everyone who contributed and all of the Montgomery County

4-H Regal Riders members we were able to do this project, so we thank you!
