An inventory of Alabama forest and water resources finds riches beyond compare. Thriving forests cover almost two-thirds of the state, and our water resources are the envy of every state in the nation. It is no surprise that forestry, aquaculture, and wildlife have developed into multi-billion dollar industries. Safeguarding and developing these valuable resources will remain a major focus of Extension education.
