to improve the long-term well-being of Mobile County and its neighbors.
This is done by providing research-based and experience-based education and
facilitation to community groups, county leaders, elected officials, and other
civic leadership.

Partnership for Community Economic Development - Will record and report extension participation with community based organizations and programs. Activities which include support in the community through partnerships in administering programming will be highlighted. The optimal outcome will include increasing the network for business collaboration and support. Alliances with other non-profit and human services organizations will be featured and documented.
Virtual Minority Business Development - Works with minority business owners to enhance their capacity through online marketing and technical assistance, stimulate economic growth by focusing on the development of various types of business ventures. Resources will be accessed through a virtual business development center focused on showcasing minority businesses throughout the state.
Smart Home Buying & Foreclosure Prevention addresses the national crisis in the housing market. It aims to provide individuals/families who are currently interested in purchasing a house as well as those home owners who are having difficulty meeting their mortgage obligations with training and counseling services. Amanda C. Outlaw, Urban Regional Extension Agent also conducts this program .
