Toll Gate
 Toll Gate: War 1812 Andrew Jackson had Toll Gate put into place in order to receive money to maintain the road.

Toll Gate: This was the 1st toll gate in Alabama & possibly in the United States in 1821. It took 5 years to build the road from Nashville to New Orleans. This saved 4 days from going down the Trace.
 Chickasaw Indian Mounds

Indian mounds are as old as 500 years.

Military Ford Crossing where stage coaches & buggies crossed to come through the Toll Gate.
 This is the location where the toll gate was.
 1st County Courthouse Built In The 1820's

Family cemetary of Judge Terrell who was the 1st Probate Judge of Marion County in the 1820's.

The Military Road went right through this cemetary in the old days.
