Hippology 4-H Club
- The Horse Club that meets before the Learning Clovers 4-H Club meeting chose to collect used children's books for Storybook Farm as their community service project this year. Storybook Farm is a therapeutic riding center located in Opelika, Ala., which serves children who have autism, disabilities, chronic illnesses or have suffered a great loss. The Horse Club was able to collect between 260 and 270 books with the help of the Learning Clovers 4-H Club. After collecting the books, they were able to go to Storybook Farm and label and sort the books into their library.
- Horse Club meets monthly so members can discuss and report on different horse related topics. Members use this to study for the State 4-H Horse Show Hippology contest. During the contest, your horse knowledge is tested in different ways. If this is something you would be interested in doing, contact your local Extension Office for more information.
