  • This year each 4-H'er may participate in no more than 4 competitions.

(There were several competitions that were eliminated from State Competition and those include Bicycle, Electric Celebration, Honey Bee Essay, and Present it with Power)

Record Books

We will no longer have a record books competition. Instead, we encourage all

4-H'ers to enter the Achievement Awards for both Junior and Senior Divisions. You will still need to keep accurate records in order to enter.

Registration

Registration for each competition will be required one week before the actual competition by 4:00 p.m. To register, one must call either Tammy or Bridgett and let them know you will be participating. If you leave a message to register please leave your name, your phone number, and what 4-H Club you are a part of.There will be no exceptions. If you do not register by the deadline, you will not be able to participate.

Low Participation

Jefferson County 4-H Program reserves the right to cancel any competition that does not have adequate participation. In this case no award money may be given but 4-H'er may be asked to participate in Regional or State Competition.

Levels

We will still have three levels: Junior, Senior I, and Senior II.

Awards

There will be a limit to the amount of total award money each 4-H'er may receive each year:

Juniors $50.00

Senior I $75.00

Senior II $100.00
