2009 CHILTON COUNTY PEACH FESTIVAL

Festival Pageants - All are held in the Chilton County High School auditorium, Clanton, AL. Admission is charged.

Annual Peach Festival Parade - Clanton, AL - Saturday, June 27th, 9:00 a.m. - Jack Hayes field.
Gorgeous peach queens, bands and floats entertain the crowds. Children, bring a bag to collect candy that is thrown!
Festival Peach Auction - Jack Hayes Field, Clanton, AL - Saturday, June 27th following the parade -- barbecue available in the park.
Bring your checkbook and bid on a basket of peaches. Local producers donate the peaches, and funds raised go toward Lion's Club projects in the community. The highest bid on a basket yet has been $8,000.00. Chilton County Peach producers should have peaches ready for judging at 8:00 a.m.

Peach Festival Cook-Off Contest for adults and youth June 20th - conducted by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System/Chilton County Office. Contact Gay West, CEC, at (205) 280-6268 for guidelines. Peach Festival Cook-Off & Cooking Demo. begins at 10:00am, Thorsby First Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall. Demonstration by Chef Joseph Mitchell from Jefferson State Cummunity College.
