Longleaf Botanical Garden

longleaf welcome center

Welcome Center

The time has come for this long-awaited botanical garden. The framework is ready: Lagarde Park features beautiful walking trails and native plantings. Museum grounds already bloom with tropical and native plants. Undeveloped acreage within the park, often unseen by the visitor, encompasses beautifully serene wooded areas. Property immediately surrounding the Lenlock Community Center structure features varied elevations and fields ready for planting. The building is poised to be transformed into orientation and programming space.

The project begins soon. We need your help to get our garden growing and building glowing. Here are our needs:

Volunteering - a large spectrum of volunteer efforts will be needed -

from gardeners (experienced, and those willing to learn)

to carpenters and handymen-and women

to lawn maintenance and landscapers

to painters and plumbers.

Giving - "Seed money" is needed immediately for basic garden equipment and tools, plants, mulch and more. Funding is also welcomed for supplies and equipment to refresh the facility.

Spreading the Word - Help us get this exciting idea to the community by sharing information with your friends and associates.
