School Landscape Initiative

Many local schools need help with establishing outdoor classrooms and educational/thematic landscapes (Plants of Asia, native plants, butterfly and hummingbird gardens, edible plant landscapes).  The program provides aesthetic and educational aspects to the school environment.  Schools benefit from on-campus resources, and can share gardens by visiting other schools. Objectives for this year include evaluating garden impacts and completion of the Saks Middle School butterfly and hummingbird garden.
