2008 State Horse Show
The Calhoun County 4-H Horse Club came back from the State 4-H Horse Show with a rainbow of ribbons. Five members participated in three different tracks of the State Horse Show – Passive Education (exhibits), Active Education (demonstrations/speeches) and Riding.
In the Passive Education, all five Calhoun County 4-H’ers placed with at least one of their events:

In the Active Education, Sarah Swain presented a demonstration on putting together a First Aid Kit for Horses. She won first place in the Junior category (ages 9 – 13).
In the riding events, Casey Rodgers competed in the Junior Barrel Races (9 to 13 year olds) with 30 other riders and won 9th place.
