Required fees are $2/person for the mandatory annual insurance (parents must also pay this) and $5/member for the horse workbook. Make checks payable to Calhoun County 4-H Horse Club.

Optional costs are $15/each for a horse club t-shirt (please make this check to Calhoun County Extension System).

Fall Schedule:

Oct. 10: 2-5:30pm - CANCELLED - Field trip to Walker Farm

 

Oct. 19: 6-7:30pm - Circle C Saddle Club. Regular meeting with officer elections (details to follow), pick up horse project workbooks and t-shirts. Learning games/activities.

Oct. 24: 9-2pm - Fall Fest, Cane Creek Community Gardens at Ft. McClellan in Anniston. Bring the entire family for this public event! Admission is $1; persons in a costume get in free. There will be live animals, hay rides, live music, inflatables for the kids, vendors with food and crafts, contests, and a quilt show. Trailblazers will volunteer here and help the young children with horse rides. If you have a very gentle, older horse or two that you could bring for this, even if it just for an hour or two, please let Meg know ASAP.

Nov. 14 - Field trip to Limbaugh Farm (optional), time and directions TBA.

Nov. 16: 6-7:30pm - regular meeting, holiday party, and cookout---place TBA.

Dec. 1: 6:30pm -Jacksonville Christmas Parade. Bring your horse and ride, or if you don't own a horse, you can still participate with the walkers and hold our horse club banner.

This will be our third year to participate!

No regular meeting in December.

Meetings will resume in Jan. 2010, schedule TBA.
