Farm City Poster Winner

Glen Nolte of Calhoun County won 1st place in the 4th-6th Grade division of the Farm-City Poster Contest. He was honored on Monday, April 29th, during the State Farm-City Awards luncheon in Birmingham.

The theme for this year's contest was "Pathways to Progress". Mitch received $200, as did his school, Saks Elementary. The Farm-City Committee of Alabama sponsors the annual awards program.

Farm-City Week is held each year the week before Thanksgiving, to help bridge the gap between rural and urban residents.
