State Competitive Day 2009

On Friday, June 19th Alabama 4-H Competitive Day was held at the University of Montevallo.  There were 187 youth from 43 Alabama counties participating in a various events.  Calhoun County was represented with five youth competing. The winners from Calhoun County were:

Senior Level I:

Joshua Bridges, Calhoun County Clovers, Participation-The World I See (Traditional Photography)

Lyndsey Golden, Calhoun County Clovers, 1st place- Blocks Rock

Sarah Swain, Calhoun County Homeschool, 1st place-Freestyle Demonstration

Jillian Bridges, Calhoun County Clovers, 1st place- Chef 4-H

Rachel Sarro, Calhoun County Clovers, Participation-Chicken-que

Christopher Serrano was elected in February for the State 4-H Council, where he serves as Regional Vice-President.  He served as a host during the State Competitive Day.
