Susan Wingard

County Extension Coordinator

July 5, 2011

The Baldwin County Master Environmental Educators have been busy this year.    They presented 107 environmental education programs to approximately 3180 students.  The programs included:  aquatic nuisance species, backyard wildlife habitat, energy, groundwater pollution, invasive plant species and nonpoint source pollution.  Special thanks to the volunteers for teaching students in our county about the environment.

An end of year celebration was held at the Windmill Market in Fairhope.  A certificate of participation was presented to each Master Environmental Educator. The volunteers participated in a tour of the market.   Gina Walcott and Rebecca Bryant shared information about the materials used to build the market and their recycling, composting, and environmental programs.
