Youth Leadership Autauga County Class of 2008: Rachel Alexander, Helana Caver, Hayley Cheeks, Misty Davis, Alexandra DeLong, Carly Evans, Hannah Evans, Tyler Glover, Laura Goldman, Payton Haisten, Savannah Hamilton, Katelyn Harris, Zach Hornyak, Scottie Hunter, Keisha Johnson, Max Johnson, Michael Klein, Joshua Otstot, Jenna Pepper, Thomas Price, Crystal Sheridan, Amber Shook, Kourtnie Wolf

The Youth Leadership Autauga County program was established to bring together high school juniors who represent the diversity of the population within Autauga County, and who share concerns for improving the quality of life in Autauga County. These students are chosen to participate based on a willingness and ability to assume leadership responsibilities in Autauga County.

 

Participants are selected from all schools in Autauga County. This includes public schools, private schools, and home school associations. Youth Leadership participants attend monthly sessions designed to educate them about leadership opportunities in the Autauga County area. During these sessions, students interact with state and local leaders and become more informed about Autauga County. Examples of these sessions include, but are not limited to, a mandatory two - day Youth Retreat, Personal Development and Professional Etiquette, Enhancing Your Communication Skills, Community Asset Mapping, State Government, County Government, Economic Development, Military Day at Maxwell AFB, and Municipal Government.
