Culinary Pastry Arts Programs

Janice conducted 3 Culinary Pastry Arts Programs with Autaugaville High School 11th Grade 4-H Club.

Culinary Arts Program

 

Autaugaville High 4-H student shows off his skills of constructing a clown out of icing. After only one hour of instructional and demonstrational time on making characters and designs out of icing, Regional Extension Agent, Janice Hall, was proud to see the outcome!

Culinary Arts Program

 

Teachers and 4-H students were absolutely amazed at finding their hidden talent. These students entered the class not knowing what a decorating bag or tip was and left making clowns, stars, borders, and many other designs. They later created roses, one of the most difficult flowers to make.

Food Allergen Program

 

Participants in the Food Allergen Program were from The Family Support Center, Board of Education School Nurse Program, Local Daycare Centers, Churches, and individuals from the community. They learned life saving information about food allergens that could be taken back to their various establishments and shared.

Healthy Lifestyles Expo

 

Participants played the Food Safety Wheel of Fortune and were asked to spin the wheel, answer a food safety question in one of the four categories and win a prize.

 

 

Head Start Annual Training Meeting

Head Start

 

Head Start teachers are trained on Food Safety.


The information learned better equipped them for classroom and school prevention of colds, food poisoning, and other illnesses.
