Clyde Chambliss, Jr.
District 1 Commissioner
Clyde is a lifelong resident of Autauga County and is married tothe former Tara Herring of Montgomery. He and his family attend Heritage Baptist Church in Prattville where he currently serves as Chairman of the Deacon Board. He and Tara have three daughters: Kristen, Lauren,and Madison. Clyde graduated from Grace Baptist School in 1987 before receiving his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama in 1992 (Cum Laude). Upon graduation, he accepted the Assistant County Engineer position with Autauga County.
In July of 1995, after much thought and prayer, Clyde resigned his position as Assistant County Engineer to run for the County Commission. Clyde was elected to represent District One on the Autauga County Commission in 1996 and then re-elected without opposition in 2000 and 2004. He was unanimouslyselected Chairman by his fellow Commission members in November of 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005.
Clyde and Tara own and operate Chambliss Engineering, a consulting civil engineering firm that specializes in water, wastewater, storm drainage, civil/site design, land development, and surveying.
Danny Chavers
District 2 Commissioner
Mr. Chavers, formerly of Pensacola, Fl, has been a resident of Autauga County for 18 years and has served on the County Commission as Vice-Chairman for the past 6 years. He has just been elected to serveanother 4 years as District Two Commissioner. He has two sons, Jakob, 9 and Paxton, 5, which live with him in Autaugaville. They are members of the AutaugavilleBaptist Church. Mr. Chaversserved in the United States Marine Corp from 1982 to 1988. He is presently employed by the State of Alabama Military Department as Asst. Chief for the DannellyField Fire Department. He is also manager/operator of the AutaugavilleWater & Sewer Department and Fire Chief of the AutaugavilleVolunteer Fire Department.

District 3 Commissioner
Mr. Carter, born and raised in Autauga County, has served on theCounty Commission for the past 12 years. His construction company, which began in 1954, has been in business for over 50 years.
Michael Morgan
District 4 Commissioner
Mr. Morgan is in hissecond 4 year term as a member of the Autauga County Commission.He and his wife Kay (Hollon) have three children and four grandchildren. Mr. Morgan is currently employed bySouthern Nuclear as a Senior Design Engineer in the nuclear design modifications group.
Carl Johnson,
District 5 Commissioner
Mr. Johnson, a 14 year resident of Autauga County, has served onthe County Commission for the past 10 years. He is married, has 8 children, 12 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He is Fire Chief of the Independence Volunteer Fire Department, serves on the board of Baptist Hospital and Autauga County E-911 Board. He is also a member of various civic organizations. He is employed by the Autauga County Board of Education as a bus driver. He also owns and operates a non-profit assisted living facility for mentally challenged citizens.
