Blount County Master Gardener Class

The 2007 version of the Blount County Master Gardener class is now underway.  The class kicked off at the Frank Green Building September 5^th with 20 participants.  They have already had classes in Turf Management, Soils and Fertilizers, Weed ID & Control, Orientation to the MG program and Growing Herbs.  Home Orchards, Vegetable Gardening, Plant Selection and Landscape Design are just some of the classes coming up.  The class should end the last week of November.  The class members are having fun making friends with folks that have a shared interest.  Many of the current class members have already began working on their volunteer hours.  They worked registering individual exhibits at the Blount County Fair and worked security there as well.  We want to welcome all of our new class members to the program.  Members of the new class include the following:
