Who is a Calhoun County Saver?

Any Calhoun County resident who agrees to work toward a savings goal such as home ownership, school tuition, retirement or even debt repayment.  Calhoun County Savers set a monthly savings goal of as little as $10, and then try to save this amount each month.  (Here are some Savings Strategies to get you started. )

What membership benefits are available to me?

  • An enrollment card.
  • The American Saver newsletter, which will be mailed to you 4 times a year.
  • An initial telephone consultation with a certified financial planner.
  • Periodic consultation with a Calhoun County Saves coach.
  • Free seminars by financial professsionals on a wide variety of financial topics.

So what does this cost me?

No money.  Your only obligation is to develop a specific savings goal, select an account, make a deposit to this account each month (or make a debt payment) and let us know that you are working toward your saving goal.

Who controls my savings account?

You do.  You open the account in your name.  We only advise and encourage.
