Drought Information

It is summer and the living is....hot and dry this year.
The U.S.
Drought Monitor describes the state as suffering from moderate drought conditions in the
southwest increasing to exceptional drought conditions for much of the
central and northern sections of the state.
NOAA's National Weather Service in Birmingham
provides some discussion on the impact of the drought on agriculture,
fire danger, hydrology, and society.
