Q
: What is this campaign all about?
The Alabama 4-H Club
Foundation, Inc., is raising a total of $8 million: $6 million to add
new facilities at the 4-H Center at Columbiana, and $2 million to provide
much needed cash and endowment for programs at the county and district
level. A full list of the funding needs and opportunities is available.
Q
: Who came up with the list of needs ?
In
response to the need for an environmental education facility to serve
the entire state of Alabama, the Alabama 4-H Club Foundation, Inc. Board
of Directors and staff developed the plan for an addition to the 4-H Center
in Columbiana. The 4-H Environmental Education Center will be dedicated
to objective, research-based, sound science environmental education. In
addition, every district and county agent was asked to provide a list
of needs for his/her area. There are more than 300 items on the list,
including scholarships, awards, equipment, facilities and program support.
