With this facility, Alabama 4-H Center's Coosa River Science School program will be better equipped to teach Alabama youth and educators about protecting and enhancing the environment in a facility unlike anything currently in Alabama.

  • 17,500 square feet of interior space, covering two floors

  • Constructed of stone, concrete, wood, glass and steel
  • Auditorium with seating capacity to 280 people
  • Three seminar rooms for classes, meetings and conferences
  • Two large laboratory classrooms
  • 1,050-square-foot observation deck nestled in the treetops
  • Live animal display area on second floor
  • Rainwater systern and filtration system used for restrooms and fire sprinkler system
  • The latest in air quality, indoor environment, and energy efficiency guidelines
