With this new facility, Alabama 4-H Center's Coosa River Science School program will be better equipped to teach Alabama youth and educators about protecting and enhancing the environment in a facility unlike anything currently in Alabama.

• 17,500 square feet of interior space, covering two floors

• constructed of stone, concrete, wood, glass and steel
• large multifunction room seating 350
• 4 seminar rooms for classes, meetings and conferences1,050-square-foot observation deck nestled in the treetops
• two large laboratory classrooms with shared prep area
• water catchment system used for toilets and sprinkler system
• interactive displays along corridors and lobby
• the latest in air quality, indoor environment, and energy efficiency guidelines
